Grace Borgan was born in the United States of America and moved to Austria where she began her musical studies at the Vienna Conservatory of Music at age 7. Later, she moved to Spain where she studied at the Hermanos Berzosa Conservatory in Cáceres, under the instruction of Javier Puentes. She continued her musical studies in the United States where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance from Ouachita Baptist University under the instruction of Kristin Grant. In addition to performing in several chamber music and orchestral ensembles, she also participated in operas and musicals. In 2006, she won 1st Place in the Ouachita Annual Concerto Competition allowing her to perform as a soloist with the Ouachita Wind Ensemble. She toured with this group to various cities in the United States, Spain and Portugal in 2007. She has attended various workshops, masterclasses and conventions with world-renowned flautists such as James Galway, Alexa Still and Ian Clark. Currently, she lives in the Algarve where she performs and teaches private lessons.
